Frances Shaffo

Frances Shaffo, PhD, is a DMPK Scientist specializing in the quantitative translation of AAV gene therapies. They earned a PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of California, Davis, and conducted research as a Graduate Student focused on developmental neurotoxicology. Frances has gained valuable experience as a Postdoctoral Scholar at UT Southwestern Medical Center, contributing to preclinical and translational programs in AAV gene therapy for rare neurological diseases. Currently, Frances serves as a Principal Scientist at Roche, after holding positions as Senior Scientist and Postdoctoral Fellow within the organization. Additionally, they interned in Regulatory Affairs at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc., supporting regulatory submissions for advanced therapies in rare diseases.
