Heena Khatter, PhD, currently serves as the Lead Discovery Project Lead (Principal Scientist) at Roche, leading small molecule projects in drug discovery across various disease areas including inflammation and neurodegeneration since June 2022. Previously, Heena was a Consultant from June 2019 to March 2025, specializing in Cryo-EM and structural biology. At Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Heena held the positions of Therapeutic Area Leader, Senior Research Scientist, and Vertex Fellow, where responsibilities included strategic design for target biology, team management, and structural studies using Cryo-EM and X-ray crystallography. Heena's early career included postdoctoral fellowships at EMBL and IGBMC, focusing on chromosome dynamics, DNA transcription mechanisms, and human ribosome structure, obtained during a PhD in Biophysics from the University of Strasbourg.
