Henry Chen

Henry Chen is a multidisciplinary digital systems engineer with a focus on FPGAs, digital signal processing, and scientific HPC. They served as the Director of Systems Engineering at Bina Technologies from 2013 to 2017, where they implemented algorithms for bioinformatics and contributed to the expansion of internal compute infrastructure. Prior to that, they worked as an undergraduate researcher at UC Berkeley, contributing to the SERENDIP project and FPGA-based instruments for radio astronomy. Currently, Henry is the Senior Engineering Manager for Platform Development at Roche Sequencing Solutions, leading platform electronics and systems engineering efforts. They hold a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from UCLA and a Bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley.
