Herry Mapesi

Herry Mapesi, MD, MSc, PhD, is a Medical Lead for Infectious Diseases at Roche, where they focus on enhancing access to diagnostics in Africa. They have over 10 years of experience as a Public Health Specialist and Research Scientist, during which they led the largest HIV clinic in rural Tanzania, conducting significant clinical research on non-communicable diseases among HIV-infected patients. Herry earned a Master's degree in Epidemiology and a PhD in Epidemiology and Public Health from the University of Basel, graduating magna cum laude. They are dedicated to bridging the gap between the private and public sectors to improve disease management and diagnosis across the continent.
