James Overell

James Overell is currently the Group Medical Director of Product Development Neuroscience at Roche, focusing on neuro-immunology. They became Principal Global Medical Director in March 2019 and transitioned to their current role in July 2021. Prior to joining Roche, Overell was a Consultant Neurologist at the Institute of Neurological Sciences in Glasgow from 2005 to 2019, where they specialized in multiple sclerosis and led the Glasgow MS Clinical Research Centre. Overell holds an MBBS degree from the University of Edinburgh and an MSc in Clinical Pharmacology, along with an MD from the University of Glasgow. They also serve as an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Glasgow and maintain a clinical practice at Universitätsspittal Basel-Stadt.
