Johnny Smith

Johnny Smith Jr., MA, currently serves as the Vice President of Communications at Roche since October 2022. Previously, Johnny held the position of Vice President of Marketing Services at Encompass Health from December 2019 to October 2022 and served at Ascension as the National Senior Director of Marketing and Communications and National Director of Public and Media Relations from November 2014 to December 2019. Johnny's earlier roles include System Director of Corporate Communications and System Manager of Communications and Community Relations at St. Vincent Health from September 2005 to November 2014, as well as Public Relations Manager and Consultant at Indiana University Health. Johnny's expertise encompasses public and media relations, internal and external communications, social media, event marketing, corporate/community outreach, relationship development, and sponsorships. Johnny holds a Master’s Degree in Communication from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations from Ball State University.
