JUNYAN LIN

Junyan Lin is a Principal Scientist at Roche, specializing in NGS assay and reagent development since 2024. Previously, they served as a Senior Scientist at Roche from 2019 to 2024, focusing on reagent and assay development for NGS target enrichment. Junyan’s early career included a role as a Senior Research Associate at the DOE Joint Genome Institute, where they developed sample preparation methods for next-generation sequencing applications from 2014 to 2019. They also worked as an Associate Scientist at Henlius Biopharmaceuticals Inc. in 2014 and conducted research on plant virus disease diagnosis while earning a Ph.D. in molecular virology from The Ohio State University, where they studied from 2008 to 2013. Junyan holds a BS in Microbiology from China Agricultural University, obtained from 2004 to 2008.
