Kristopher Barbee

Kristopher Barbee is a highly versatile systems engineer, bioengineer, and mechanical engineer with over 20 years of interdisciplinary research and product development experience in the biotech and genomics fields. Currently serving as the Director of Research at Roche, they lead the development of new technology and instrumentation. Kristopher has previously held pivotal roles at Thermo Fisher Scientific, Paramit Corporation, and Ultima Genomics, where they were instrumental in the design and commercialization of innovative instruments and systems. They possess a strong academic background, holding degrees in mechanical engineering and bioengineering from The Ohio State University and the University of California, San Diego, where they are also pursuing a Ph.D. in bioengineering.
