Markus Jutzi has extensive experience in clinical review and medical leadership, beginning their career as a Resident Physician at the University Hospital Basel from 2002 to 2005. They worked at Swissmedic from 2011 to 2016, serving as a Clinical Reviewer in both Risk Management Safety of Medicines and Haemovigilance. From 2016 to 2019, Markus was the Head of the Medical Team at the Berne site of Interregionale Blutspende. Following that role, they led Medical Microbiology at Analytica from 2020 to 2025 and currently serves as a Clinical Development Lead for Infectious Diseases at Roche. Markus also holds a consultant position in Infectious Diseases Screening with Stiftung Blutspende SRK Aargau-Solothurn. Their educational background includes an MD from the University of Zurich and a degree in Medical Microbiology from FAMH.
