Richard Munton

Richard Munton is an accomplished professional in business development with extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. Currently serving as Senior Director of Business Development at Roche since June 2020, Richard has previously held key positions including Head of Business Development at AC Immune, Director of Global Business Development at AstraZeneca, and Director of Global Business Development at Gambro. Richard’s career encompasses roles as an Investment Manager at Hoffmann-La Roche and BioMedPartners AG, alongside experience in venture valuation and academia as a post-doctoral researcher at ETH Zurich. With a strong educational background, Richard holds an MBA from the University of St.Gallen, a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Bristol, and a BSc in Pharmacology with Honours from The University of Edinburgh. Additionally, Richard has demonstrated leadership skills as a skipper for a sailing yacht, undertaking a significant voyage from Sweden to the Caribbean.
