Sona Barth is a Principal Scientist in drug discovery, currently leading preclinical programs focused on renal diseases at Roche since 2025. Sona has extensive experience in target identification and validation, having worked as a Research Scientist at Evotec from 2019 to 2024, where Sona coordinated teams and supported various phases of early drug discovery. Sona earned a Master's Degree in Molecular Biology from Georg-August-Universität Göttingen and a Bachelor's Degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Middle East Technical University. Prior to these roles, Sona was a Doctoral Student at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen and held positions in quality control at Juno Therapeutics GmbH.
