Stephen Wright

Stephen Wright is a seasoned medical professional with extensive experience in clinical research and product development in immunology and rheumatology. At Queen's University Belfast, Stephen received the inaugural "Welcome Trust Clinical Research Fellowship in Northern Ireland" and focused on endothelial dysfunction in systemic lupus erythematosus. Stephen's tenure at Roche spanned multiple leadership roles, including Group Medical Director and LifeCycle Leader, where significant contributions were made to the development and strategic direction of Actemra, including managing a cross-functional team during the COVID-19 pandemic to expedite the therapy's approval for severe pneumonia. Clinical expertise was further demonstrated at Addenbrookes Hospital Trust as a rheumatologist and through training in pediatric rheumatology.
