Steve DeMarco is a drug discovery professional with expertise in pharmacology and toxicology, specializing in small molecule, peptide, and AAV gene therapy programs. They have held leadership roles at various companies, including Director of Preclinical Development at Ra Pharmaceuticals and Director of Pre-clinical R&D at PTC Therapeutics, where they focused on developing gene therapies for rare neurological diseases. Currently, Steve serves as Director of Toxicology at Roche, building on a strong foundation established through a PhD in Molecular Neuroscience from Mayo Graduate School and a postdoctoral appointment at the University of Zurich.
