Sylvia Zhao is currently the Head of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Early Development at the China Innovation Center of Roche (CICoR) in Shanghai, China. Sylvia oversees various scientific contributions, facilitating programs from discovery through early clinical development, while also directing the global clinical development strategy for CICoR's early development portfolio. Previously, Sylvia held several leadership roles at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research and The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, focusing on pharmacokinetics and clinical pharmacology. Sylvia earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Toronto and a Master’s Degree in Chemistry from Memorial University of Newfoundland.
