Thomas McElrath

Thomas McElrath is a Professor of Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School and a physician-scientist specializing in biomarker development for high-risk pregnancies. As a Board-Certified Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist, they have been the Principal Investigator of the LIFECODES longitudinal pregnancy cohort since 2006, collecting extensive data on over 7,000 pregnancies. They also serve as Medical Director of the Brigham and Women’s Preterm Birth Clinic and the Epilepsy and Neurologic Disorders in Pregnancy Prenatal Clinic. With a strong foundation in epidemiology and data analysis, McElrath holds a PhD in Demography from the University of Pennsylvania and an MD from Harvard Medical School.
