Umut Bal has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and financial sectors, with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as Head of Marketing and Customer Engagement at Roche since April 2017, Umut has held various senior roles within the company, including Oncology Marketing Director and Head of Marketing. Prior to Roche, Umut was with Gilead Sciences as Business Unit Director and has held multiple managerial positions at Roche in both oncology and virology. Earlier career experience includes a Product Manager role at GlaxoSmithKline and a Financial Analyst position at Deutsche Bank. Umut Bal holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Boğaziçi University and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Baruch College.
