Vanessa Breton

Vanessa Breton is a seasoned data scientist currently employed at Roche since May 2022, where advanced analytical skills are applied to support healthcare initiatives. Prior experience includes serving as a postdoctoral research fellow at The Hospital for Sick Children, contributing to the understanding of lung disease in children through innovative statistical techniques. Vanessa's research journey includes a role as a research associate at the University of Toronto Engineering, focusing on statistical modeling of epilepsy; a doctoral student position at the University of Toronto, emphasizing cellular electrophysiology and signal processing; and experience as a teaching assistant, fostering cooperative learning in physiology courses. Additional roles include private tutoring, lab assistance in chemistry at Xerox, and IT support at GSK. Vanessa holds a PhD in Epilepsy from the University of Toronto and a BS in Mathematics and Statistics from McGill University.
