Zac Ostrow is an experienced leader in the field of molecular biology and sequencing applications. Currently serving as the Director and Project Leader for Sequencing Applications Ecosystem at Roche since November 2025, Zac previously held the position of Principal Scientist and Associate Director at NeoGenomics Laboratories from 2024 to November 2025. Zac's career includes significant roles at Illumina from June 2016 to July 2023, where employment spanned positions including Manager and Staff Scientist, Manager and Senior Scientist, and Scientist. Prior to that, Zac completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Molecular and Computational Biology and earned a PhD in Molecular Biology at the University of Southern California, where academic studies also included a Bachelor of Science in Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
