Joel Farris

Joel Farris has a significant amount of experience in front-end development and UI engineering. Joel currently holds the position of Senior Front-end Developer at Rockbot since 2022. In 2012, they founded Return Technologies and worked as a Front-end Developer, partnering with companies to deliver effective web experiences. During their time at Papa John's International from 2017 to 2019, they developed front-end components for a site-wide redesign and built the front-end for an updated custom ordering flow. Joel also worked at Microsoft as a UI Engineer from 2019 to 2020. In addition, Joel was a Front-end Developer and Product Designer at Trailer Town from 2015 to 2017, playing a leading role in the creation and launch of a movie trailer website. Joel Farris obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Communication, with a focus on Radio-Television-Film, from The University of Texas at Austin. Joel completed their studies at the university from 2006 to 2009.
