Aaron Kuipers

Aaron Kuipers is an experienced aerospace professional currently serving as the Director of Test and Launch Operations at Rocket Lab since November 2018, overseeing the development of the LC-2 Launch Site at Wallops Island, VA. Prior to this role, Aaron worked as the Operations and Maintenance Manager at the Virginia Commercial Space Flight Authority from September 2015 to November 2018. With a strong background in engineering, Aaron also held the position of Principal Engineer at Orbital ATK for nearly a decade, where leadership involved the design and deployment of ground control systems for launch vehicles. Aaron's early career includes roles as an Electrical Engineer and Project Manager for various companies, including work on missile defense programs and turbine engine testing. Aaron's foundational experience stems from service in the United States Marine Corps as an Electrical Equipment Repair Specialist. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Arizona State University.
