Andrew Alder is a Senior GNC Engineer at Rocket Lab, with a focus on the Neutron and Electron rockets, having progressed through various engineering roles since April 2022. Prior experience includes working as a Mechanical Engineer and Analyst at Argo Navis Aerospace, where contributions included strategic discussions and system design for a novel propulsion system. Andrew also served as a Graduate Policy Advisor at the New Zealand Space Agency, providing technical insights into space policy. An internship at NASA Ames Research Center involved designing a sensor strategy for flexible aircraft wings, while earlier roles included research and development in knee rehabilitation devices and academic research on robotic gait trainers. Andrew holds a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, a Bachelor of Engineering with First Class Honours and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Auckland, and completed the Southern Hemisphere Space Studies Program at the International Space University.
