David McPhee

David McPhee is an experienced RF Systems Engineer with a strong background in satellite communication and testing. Currently serving as RF Systems Engineer II at Rocket Lab since March 2024, David leads RF engineering efforts for Pioneer Bus Space Missions, conducts radio compatibility testing with NASA's Deep Space Network, and manages ground station simulation for constellation satellites. Prior to this role, David worked at Calian, Advanced Technologies as a Junior RF Systems Engineer, where responsibilities included testing live satellites and collaborating on project reviews and campaigns, earning the Golden Wings award for extensive work travel. David's engineering career began with an entry-level position at Calian, focusing on the design and integration of satellite simulators. Additionally, research experience at the University of Saskatchewan involved analyzing the Quasi Biennial Oscillation, contributing to a published paper. David holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering Physics from the University of Saskatchewan.
