James Callahan

James Callahan is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in manufacturing and mechanical engineering, primarily within the aerospace sector. As a Principal Manufacturing Engineer at Rocket Lab since 2019, James has led the Archimedes Turbopump Assembly as the product owner, spearheading new product introductions, supplier onboarding, and process design. Prior to this role, James served as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at SpaceX, where responsibilities included ownership of manufacturing processes for the Merlin rocket engine components. Earlier experience includes mechanical engineering roles at Bechtel Marine Propulsion Corporation, focusing on naval reactor designs, and a manufacturing engineering co-op at BorgWarner Inc. James holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University, completed in 2010.
