Michael Pearson

Michael Pearson is a skilled engineer and manager with extensive experience in aerospace and propulsion systems. Currently serving as the Manager of Integrated Operations at Rocket Lab since June 2016, Michael leads a multi-disciplinary team focused on test and launch operations for the Electron rocket and associated products. Previous roles at Rocket Lab include Team Lead of the Integrated Operations and Senior Engineer for Propulsion Operations, where responsibilities ranged from overseeing testing programs for the Rutherford engine to developing effective test plans for propulsion systems. Michael's earlier experiences include leading the propulsion team at UVic Rocketry, co-op positions at AUVic and West Coast Wave Initiative, and a foundational role as a propulsion intern at Rocket Lab Ltd. Michael holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Victoria and a Diploma in Computer Information Systems from Okanagan College.
