Michael Pereira

Michael Pereira serves as the Director of Business Development at Rocket Lab since August 2025, focusing on customer and contract growth within the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. Previously, Michael held key roles at SpaceWERX, where responsibilities included leading acquisition portfolio management to benefit the U.S. Space Force. A diverse career includes significant business development and capture management positions at Astroscale and Los Alamos National Laboratory, with previous experience in advanced development and payload engineering with the U.S. Navy. Michael holds an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, a Master of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
