Nick Berends

Nick Berends is an IT Systems Engineer II specializing in launch operations at Rocket Lab since November 2023. Prior to this role, Nick served in various positions at Global Security Solutions Limited from April 2019 to November 2023, including Manager of ICT & Performance Analytics and Business Performance Analyst, along with supervising the Communications Centre. Nick also worked as a Service Coordinator at Action Security & Access LTD and held multiple roles at FIRST Security from 2014 to 2018, culminating in the Training Coordinator and Logistics Support Centre Supervisor position. Notably, Nick was awarded the 2018 Communications Centre Operator of the Year by the New Zealand Security Association. Early career experience includes positions at McDonald's starting in 2012. Nick holds a New Zealand Certificate in Information Technology & Client Support from Yoobee College of Creative Innovation and a New Zealand Certificate in Information Technology from Open Polytechnic of New Zealand.
