Prayers Roy

Prayers Roy, PhD, is an accomplished mechanical engineer currently serving as the Mechanical Engineering Lead at Rocket Lab since May 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Structural Dynamics Lead and Structures Specialist at SpaceRyde, where significant contributions were made in developing thrust vector control systems for hybrid rocket engines. Academic background includes a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Toronto, with a focus on the electro-mechanical behavior of carbon nanotube composites and gas turbine engine analysis. Education includes a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor’s degree from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. Additional experience includes a role at Siemens, where engineering design work was performed on steam turbines for power plant projects.
