Richard Hunter is an experienced aerospace professional currently serving as Manager of Spacecraft Mission Design and Operations at Rocket Lab since June 2019. His roles at Rocket Lab have included Team Lead positions in both Spacecraft Mission Design and Photon Mission Design, as well as Senior Guidance, Navigation, and Control Engineer and Guidance, Navigation, and Control Engineer II. Prior to this, Richard worked as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology and completed a Guidance, Navigation, and Control internship at Rocket Lab. Richard's earlier experience includes a five-year tenure as Senior Engineer at AIM Altitude and an engineering secondment at Antarctica New Zealand. Richard holds a Master of Science degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Canterbury.
