Rob Iles

Rob Iles is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Programme Manager (Mechanical) for the Neutron project at Rocket Lab since July 2022, focusing on innovative launch vehicle design. Prior to this role, Rob held several positions including Principal Engineer and Senior Test Development Engineer at Martin-Baker Aircraft Co Ltd, where responsibility included the verification of electro-mechanical systems in ejection seats. Rob's extensive background also includes project management at Safran, leading critical projects for Airbus, and contributions to advanced technologies at companies such as GKN Aerospace and AMETEK. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Micro-engineering and a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Birmingham.
