Simon Matthews

Simon Matthews is a highly experienced Principal Engineer specializing in Neutron Avionics Systems and Software at Rocket Lab since March 2019. Previously, Simon held various engineering roles at AVIAGE SYSTEMS, GE Aviation, and Avidyne, contributing expertise in avionics systems and software development across numerous projects, including the C919 IMA development. Simon's career began at Boral and Clubmate Software, where skills in embedded software and application development were honed. Simon holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from The University of Auckland.
