Tim Bogman is an experienced aerospace engineer currently serving as an Integration and Test Engineer at Rocket Lab since May 2023, where involvement includes both academic and internship roles. As Avionics Manager for UMBRA: A SEDS Chapter since August 2022, Tim leads a team in developing a custom avionics unit for a two-stage solid propellant rocket with a target of reaching the Karman line. Previously, Tim worked as an Avionics Engineer at Bronco Space from September 2021 to March 2023, contributing to the design and testing of a CubeSat platform and its subsystems. Tim's extensive background includes roles in propulsion engineering and hardware engineering, where contributions included the design and testing of rocket motors and CubeSat systems. Tim is pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace Engineering at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, expected to graduate in 2025.
