Tim McCafferty

Tim McCafferty is a Junior Development Engineer at Rocket Lab, starting in December 2023. Previously, Tim worked as a Design Engineer at SailGP from December 2022 to December 2023. Tim holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Auckland, where research focused on the mechanical recycling of glass fibre reinforced composites. This followed a Bachelor of Engineering Honours in Mechatronics from the same institution. Additional experience includes roles as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Fusion® Entertainment, and internships at Transpower New Zealand, as well as participation in the University of Auckland Formula SAE Team.
