Alex Stepick

Alex Stepick has a strong background in the legal field, with diverse experience spanning both the private and public sectors. Currently, they serve as the Head of Legal at Rocket Money, formerly known as Truebill. In this role, Alex leads the legal team, providing guidance on growth-focused legal strategies, overseeing day-to-day legal functions, and managing deal structuring and negotiation. They also ensure regulatory compliance and provide legal support for intellectual property and marketing matters.

Prior to joining Rocket Money, Alex worked as the Director of Legal at Start Small Think Big, Inc. Here, they developed and implemented a national legal program, directing a team and overseeing pro-bono efforts. Before that, they operated their own law firm, Stepick Law, where they served as an attorney from 2014 to 2018.

Alex also gained valuable experience as Of Counsel at Progressive Law Group, LLC from 2011 to 2018. Additionally, they worked as a Legal Fellow for the U.S. House of Representatives, Judiciary Committee, Subcommittee on Immigration in 2010, and as a Legal Intern at the U.S. Department of Justice in 2009.

Alex Stepick attended the University of Chicago from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law, Letters & Society. They later pursued higher education at the Washington University in St. Louis School of Law from 2007 to 2010, earning a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
