Will Stern

Will Stern has extensive work experience in the tech industry. Will is currently working as a Tech Lead Manager at Rocket Money (formerly Truebill) since March 2023, where they oversee technical leadership in the company. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Fullstack Engineer at the same company from July 2022 to March 2023.

Before joining Rocket Money, Will founded and managed LearnCode, a platform offering developer tutorials and training on YouTube. Will started this venture in October 2013 and continues to contribute to its growth, with over 600,000 subscribers and 36 million views.

Will also held the position of Senior Software Engineer at Synthetic Minds from September 2020 to July 2022. Their responsibilities included building various web applications and utilizing program synthesis techniques to develop an AI engine.

Will gained managerial experience as a Senior Engineering Manager at Red Ventures from April 2019 to September 2020, overseeing monetization efforts in higher education acquisition. Prior to this, they held the same position at HigherEducation.com from January 2018 to September 2020, where they also served as a Software Architect. In this role, they built infrastructure and applications using AWS, Docker, Terraform, and other technologies.

During their early career, Will worked as a Web Developer for Flexion, Studio31 Design Company, WebMD, and Precise Pricing Real Estate, where they gained expertise in various technologies and handled client relations. Will also served as the Lead Web Developer for Destiny Church from January 2001 to March 2010.

Will Stern earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology from Vision International University, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. In addition to their degree, they obtained a certification as a Certified Scrum Master from ScrumAlliance in December 2011.
