Daniel Martin has extensive experience in systems programming and IT security, beginning at the University of Arkansas from October 1983 to August 1992, where responsibilities included support for various IBM and Amdahl operating systems and the deployment of a UNIX-based infrastructure. In mid-1999, Daniel took on the role of Manager of the IT Security & Open Systems Support Group, becoming the campus's first IT Security Officer. Since February 2003, Daniel has been a Senior Software Engineer at Rocket Software, Inc., leading the z/VM Tools development and architecture of key software solutions for IBM environments. Daniel holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Arkansas and completed the SmithBucklin Leadership Institute in 2017.
