Jim Porell

Jim Porell is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in leadership and advisory roles across various organizations. Currently serving as Director of Solutions Advisors at Rocket Software since June 2018, Porell is also an Advisory Board Member at Callsign, focusing on market strategies for startups. As a partner at Empennage/Mantissa, Porell contributes to the beta development of z86VM, a virtualization solution for IBM's System z mainframe. Additional advisory roles include membership on the board of Malcovery Security, aiding in malware detection. Previously, Porell held consulting and executive positions at Vicom Infinity, Computer Data Source, and spent over three decades at IBM in multiple distinguished roles, including Distinguished Engineer and Deputy CTO for Federal Sales. Porell holds a BA in Math from Providence College.
