Michael Smith

Michael Smith has held a variety of roles in the education sector since 2007. Starting as a Middle School Music Teacher for ISD 877 in 2015, they then became the Band Director for Dassel Cokato Middle School in 2011. In 2007, they were a Middle School Music Teacher for Hutchinson Public Schools ISD 423. In 2019, they were an Assistant Principal for Becker Public Schools ISD 726. In 2020, they became the Assistant Principal for St Cloud Public Schools ISD 742. Currently, they are the Community and Partnership Lead for Rocketgenius, Inc.

Michael Smith obtained a K-12 Principal Certification from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2018. From 2013 to 2015, they earned a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Concordia University-St. Paul. Michael also completed a Bachelor's degree in Music Teacher Education from Concordia College between 2003 and 2007.
