Ryan Urban has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Ryan is currently working at Rocketgenius, Inc. as the Lead Software Engineer and Frontend Chapter Lead. In this role, Ryan is responsible for modernizing and scaling the codebase of the Gravity Forms product, planning and implementing new features, and ensuring a great user experience. Ryan works with HTML/CSS, JavaScript/React, and PHP in an agile and collaborative environment.

Prior to their current role, Ryan worked at Modern Tribe Inc. in various positions. Ryan was a Principal Engineer, where they focused on building and growing high-performing teams and ensuring the execution of work across agency projects. Ryan also served as an Engineering Manager, leading the frontend engineering team and supporting their growth and development. Additionally, Ryan worked as a Lead Frontend Engineer and Frontend Developer at Modern Tribe, collaborating with team members and clients to deliver high-quality systems and interfaces.

In 2020, Ryan co-founded The Distillates, a publication centered around spirits enjoyment, exploration, and review. Before that, they owned Fringe Development, a web development studio where they built various solutions for clients across different markets.

Ryan's earlier experiences include working as an RFP Manager and Business Development Consultant at Video Insight, a Volunteer at Research Valley Angel Fund, and Director of Business Development at AiB Consulting. Ryan also served as the Venture Capital Program Manager at Research Valley Innovation Center.

Ryan Urban's education history begins in 2003 when they enrolled at Texas A&M University to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Business. Ryan completed their undergraduate studies in 2006. Following this, in 2007, Ryan returned to Texas A&M University to pursue a Master of Science degree in Economics, which they completed in 2009. In the same year, they attended the Investment Banking Institute, where they obtained a Certificate in Financial Modeling and Valuation.
