Rocketproof.ai is an authentic-assessment platform for higher education built for the age of generative AI. It helps faculty verify what students actually understand by pairing submitted work with a short, structured oral defense. Students submit an artifact, such as a paper, project, presentation, report, reading response, or case analysis. Rocketproof then generates targeted questions from that student’s own work, records the student’s responses, creates a transcript, and gives faculty a single review surface where they can evaluate the evidence and finalize the grade.

The core idea is simple: Assess the student, not just the submission. Traditional assignments used to work because the submitted artifact was a reasonable proxy for student understanding. Generative AI has weakened that proxy. A polished paper can now be produced with AI assistance, which means faculty need a better way to see whether the student can explain, defend, and apply the ideas behind the work. Rocketproof shifts the focus from detecting AI-written text to verifying student understanding.

Rocketproof is not an AI-detection tool, a plagiarism checker, or a proctoring platform. It does not try to decide whether a human or a model wrote the words. Its purpose is academic verification. The platform gives faculty recorded evidence of student thinking, including the student’s spoken defense, transcript, rubric-aligned scoring, and AI-assisted first-pass analysis. Faculty remain in control of the final grade and can adjust any suggested score before releasing feedback.

The platform supports multiple assignment types, including papers, presentations, readings, scenarios, peer review, interviews, debates, language learning, AI-use reflections, makeup assignments, and cumulative or capstone exams. This means Rocketproof can be used beyond traditional essays.
