Stanka Matic

Stanka Matic, Ph.D., is a highly experienced scientist currently serving as a Senior Scientist at RocketVax since November 2020 and as a Senior Scientist/Coordinator for the Zukunftscluster nanodiag BW at Uniklinik Freiburg since May 2023. With a strong background in mitochondrial genetics related to disease and aging, Stanka conducted postdoctoral research at the Institut für Biochemie und Molekularbiologie, Albert-Ludwigs-Universität from February 2017 to February 2020, and completed a PhD at the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing from April 2012 to January 2017. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Genetics from the University of Cologne and a Master's degree from the University of Belgrade. Key competencies encompass mitochondrial DNA replication, data analysis, molecular techniques, and team supervision.
