Fred Wright Mph

Fred "Trey" Wright MA MPH currently serves as the Health Director for Rockingham County, overseeing the Public Health Division's services and programs since December 2020. Previous roles include Deputy Health Director at Nash County Health Department, Public Health Administrator at Cumberland County Health Department, and Public Health Educator II in Carteret County, among others. In addition to extensive public health experience, Fred has taught courses in public speaking and interpersonal communication as an adjunct professor at Wilson Community College and Carteret Community College. Fred holds a Master of Arts in Health Communication and a Master of Public Health in Health Behavior, both from East Carolina University, where a Bachelor's degree in Public Health Education and Promotion was also obtained.
