Stuart Bourne has worked in a variety of roles in the tech industry. From 2013 to 2014, they were a Laboratory Technician at Northwest Hydraulic Consultants. In 2014 and 2015, they worked as an Engineering Intern at Brown and Caldwell, where they wrote and edited technical specifications, developed a system to accurately monitor and portray the work forecast of employees, and implemented and found a network database system to store and secure working file backups. In 2016, they worked as a Freelance Software Developer, designing user interfaces and JSON databases. From 2017 to 2021, they worked at RockMass Technologies as CTO and Co-Founder, integrating functionality changes into a pre-existing patented thesis and devising a methodology to refine the company scanning procedure. Most recently, from 2021 to 2022, they worked at Joby Aviation as a Technical Program Manager, Autonomy and Navigation, leading the program development of the flight sensors subsystem and working alongside systems, electrical, software, and mechanical engineers.
Stuart Bourne attended Queen's University from 2013 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Computer Software Engineering.
