Gilbert R. is an experienced professional in the energy sector with a focus on renewable energy and strategic development. Currently serving as a Mentor at Rockstart and YES!Delft, Gilbert supports start-ups in offshore wind, electric charging optimization, hydrogen strategies, and decarbonization. As a Senior Advisor at Rotterdam-Rijn Pijpleiding NV and Energy Advisors, contributions are made toward energy transition strategies and growth models. Previously, Gilbert held leadership roles at McKinsey & Company, SUDARSKIS & PARTNERS LIMITED, Occidental, and Shell, providing expertise in business development, governance, and energy strategy across various regions, including the Middle East and North Africa. Gilbert holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Delft University of Technology and has completed several executive education programs at prestigious institutions, including INSEAD and The Wharton School.
