Rockwell Automation Promotes Patricia Contreras to Vice President of Global Public Affairs
Industrial automation company Rockwell Automation, Inc. has named Patricia Contreras Vice President of Global Public Affairs. Mr. Contreras will oversee federal and state government affairs, external communications, media relations, corporate responsibility and environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting, as well as the community relations and contributions group. She has most recently been the company’s Director of Global Community Relations and Contributions, and starts her new role on July 1, 2020. “Patricia has always put Rockwell Automation’s people and communities first, as evident by the critical role she has played in the development of our philanthropic relationships and growth in the community,” said Rockwell Automation Chairman and CEO Blake Moret. “Patricia is the perfect fit for this role – to oversee and build a strategy which taps into our unique capabilities and resources to further expand human possibility in the communities we serve.” Ms. Contreras joined Rockwell Automation in 2008, and becomes the first Latina to lead its global public affairs. She will be responsible for building strategic partnerships that support business objectives and growth. “Throughout my career at Rockwell Automation, I’m especially proud of the investments we’ve made that are strategically aligned with our company purpose and further amplified by our employee volunteerism efforts,” said Ms. Contreras. “I am excited to expand my scope by working closely with global and local governments, and partners, to ensure our business, our people and our communities are positioned for success.”
