Dennis Petersen

Dennis Petersen has extensive experience in the field of indirect taxes. Dennis is currently serving as the Head of Indirect Tax, Tax Processes & Technology at ROCKWOOL Group since April 2020. In this role, they are responsible for global indirect taxes and tax technology & processes. Prior to this, Dennis worked as a Director at KPMG ACOR TAX from September 2018 to March 2020, where they focused on developing expertise within indirect taxes and assisting clients in their in-house tax function.

Before joining KPMG, Dennis held the position of Indirect Tax Manager at PANDORA from January 2015 to May 2018. Here, they played a crucial role in setting up an indirect tax team in a Shared Services Center and was responsible for handling all indirect tax issues.

Prior to their role at PANDORA, Dennis worked at PwC Danmark as a Senior Manager, focusing primarily on VAT and specializing in cross-border transactions, ERP setups, process improvements, and risk management. Dennis also worked as a Senior Manager at EY Denmark from October 2013 to April 2014, where they specialized in VAT and dealt with cross-border transactions, ERP setups, and risk management.

Dennis started their career as a Trainee at SKAT from August 2000 to July 2002 and later worked as a Fuldmægtig from January 2006 to April 2007. During their time at SKAT, they gained experience in audits, inspections, and IT-audits for large companies.

Overall, Dennis Petersen has a wealth of experience in indirect taxes, tax technology & processes, and has contributed significantly to the establishment and development of tax functions in various organizations.

Dennis Petersen received a Bachelor's degree in Economics, specializing in direct and indirect taxes, from Told og Skatteskolen (the School of the Danish tax authorities) from 2002 to 2006. Prior to that, they attended CPH West Business College from 1996 to 1999, where they obtained a degree known as HHx. In addition to their educational background, Dennis also obtained certifications in project management, including the PRINCE2 Foundation Certificate in Project Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice in 2018, and the PRINCE2 Practitioner Certificate in Project Management in November 2018.
