Billy began their career at Hill & Wilkinson in 1995, serving as Vice President - Healthcare until 2013. In 2013, they transitioned to Rogers-O'Brien Construction, initially as a Senior Project Manager and later as a Project Director. Billy continues to hold the position of Project Director at Rogers-O'Brien Construction.

Billy Large obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Construction Engineering Technologies from Texas Tech University, where they studied from 1990 to 1994. In January 2022, they obtained a Procore Certified: Project Manager (Financial Management) certification from Procore Technologies.
