Gerardo Gutiérrez

Geosteering Technical Lead at ROGII

Gerardo Gutiérrez has been working in the oil and gas industry since 2007. From 2007 to 2010, they worked as an Exploration Geologist for PDVSA Petróleos de Venezuela S.A., where they were responsible for wellsite geologist activities in 12 exploratory wells at Maracaibo Lake Basin, Venezuela. Gerardo also conducted geological proposals and geopressure and gas chromatography analysis. From 2007 to 2016, they worked as a Development Geologist for Petrozuata (PDVSA - Conoco Phillips), where they were responsible for designing, evaluating, and geosteering multilateral horizontal wells in heavy oil fields at Orinoco Belt, Venezuela. From 2016 to 2017, they worked as a Geologist for Energy Holding, where they were responsible for reactivation and workover planning for oil and gas wells in the Golfo San Jorge Basin. Gerardo also developed projects planning and oil and gas production (drilling, optimization, integrated studies). From 2017 to present, they have worked as a Geosteering Technical Lead for ROGII Inc., where they are responsible for geosteering unconventional targets in Vaca Muerta - Argentina. Gerardo also provides technical support on StarSteer Geosteering Software and business development for Rogii Inc in Argentina. Additionally, they worked as a Support Engineer for Fundación Petrociencia in 2007.

Gerardo Gutiérrez obtained a degree in Ingeniero Geólogo from Universidad de los Andes (VE) between the years 2000 and 2006.
