Sam Lazarus

Sam Lazarus has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Starting as an intern at Village Roadshow in 2009, Lazarus then worked as a Video Editor and Shooter at Insomnia Media Group, gaining valuable experience in the film industry. In 2011, they joined aecKnowledge as a Video Editor, responsible for editing video classes and creating graphical overlays. Later that year, Lazarus began their tenure at GoPro, where they held various roles such as Editor + Data Wrangler, Senior Editor, and ultimately Creative Director + VR Lead. At GoPro, Lazarus played a crucial role in growing their Youtube subscribership and leading content strategy for high-profile product launches. Sam also directed, shot, edited, and delivered numerous marketing initiatives, oversaw major event productions, and managed a team of creatives. In 2018 and 2019, Lazarus worked as a Freelance VFX // Mograph artist for Cypre Inc. and SoFi respectively. In 2019, they joined Rokoko as a Creative Director. Additionally, Lazarus freelanced as a VR Editor for Verizon, creating short VR pieces for the MLS integration. Overall, Lazarus has demonstrated expertise in video editing, shooting, VR content creation, and team management across various industries.

Sam Lazarus earned a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Bowdoin College, which they attended from 2005 to 2009. Sam later pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree specializing in VFX at the Academy of Art University, completing their studies from 2018 to 2020.
