Tom Gibbons

Tom Gibbons has extensive experience in engineering and mathematics, beginning with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from The University of Manchester and an additional year at Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen. Tom has worked as a Research Engineer at AMRC, where the focus was on complex mathematical modeling in high value manufacturing. At The University of Sheffield, Tom served as a Research Associate on a project funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, concentrating on automation in robotic assisted manufacturing and developing machine learning algorithms for non-destructive testing and structural health monitoring. This expertise was further expanded through a collaborative EngD research project with Boeing, which involved developing mathematical models for vibration control and applying advanced signal processing methods. Additional experience includes an industrial placement at Boeing and a role as Senior Staff Engineer at Stryker. Currently, Tom Gibbons is a Senior Software Engineer at Roku.
