Ana Borges currently holds the position of Research and Development Manager at ROLEX, overseeing Chemistry and Material Science characterization labs while focusing on sustainability and eco-design within the watchmaking industry. Prior to this, Ana Borges accumulated over a decade of experience at Philip Morris International in various roles, including Senior Scientist in Advanced Quality Planning, Project Manager for System Performance and Electronics Sustainability, and Senior Engineer for Reduced Risk Products Environmental Programs, where responsibilities ranged from developing quality requirements for innovation projects to leading sustainability initiatives. Ana Borges began their academic journey with a Master’s in Chemical Engineering, followed by a PhD in Materials Science from EPFL, and later completed an Executive MBA at EPFL.
